Astadia Announces New Division, AppFactor On-Demand Solutions, and Its First Two Products for Salesforce.com’s AppExchange
Initial AppExchange products address sales quoting and PayPal donation integration needs for salesforce.com customers
Southborough, MA and SAN FRANCISCO, salesforce.com Dreamforce Conference - October 9, 2006 – Astadia, Inc., an IT consultancy and leading salesforce.com services partner, today announced the creation of a new product division: AppFactor On-Demand Solutions (www.appfactor.com). This division is focused on creating applications for distribution on salesforce.com’s AppExchange directory that enable companies to manage more and more of their processes on demand with the Salesforce service. The AppFactor products are sold as on-demand subscriptions, providing easy online access to necessary functionality without IT infrastructure headaches.
In coordination with the introduction of the new division, AppFactor On-Demand Solutions is launching a public beta program for its first two products – AppFactor Quoting and AppFactor Payments for the AppExchange at the salesforce.com Dreamforce 2006 user and developer conference.
“The creation of our products division was a natural outgrowth of our consulting business,” says Jason Masciarelli, President of Astadia. “After working with hundreds of clients and completing Salesforce implementation engagements of all kinds, we have identified both specific and common needs in the marketplace. Some of these needs can be addressed by repeatable, productized solutions.”
“Our clients include small to mid-sized companies, divisions of large companies, and non-profit organizations,” says Andy Zimmerman, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Astadia. “The AppFactor products are geared toward this market and include repeatable, on-demand solutions that are functionally rich, easy to deploy, and cost-effective to procure.”
The AppFactor On-Demand Solutions division includes a team of engineering and customer service resources devoted to developing and supporting products that address the frequent needs of companies using Salesforce.
AppFactor Quoting
AppFactor Quoting for AppExchange is a wizard-like tool that allows Salesforce users to create professional looking quotes with consistency and accuracy. It is easy to use, has built-in product selection and discounting capabilities, and enables seamless creation of PDF quotes. The 3-step wizard is launched via a Web-link within a Salesforce Opportunity record. The AppFactor Quoting product is the result of Astadia’ years of experience building and implementing custom quoting solutions. For more information visit www.appfactor.com/quoting
